Brother Johnny Emerson has been married to Sue for 56 years. They have three daughters, seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Johnny came to know the Lord through his brother, sister-in-law and his lovely wife Sue. As a young man he was encouraged by an older brother in Christ to begin teaching. As his knowledge, understanding and love for God’s word grew, so did his desire to share with others. He and Sue first worked with a congregation in Cantonment FL. Then, 46 years ago this June (2013), they began their service here in Robertsdale. After seven years he became one of our elders and has lovingly cared for and guided this congregation 39 years.

When asked what his joy and challenge as a shepherd of the Lord’s body is, his response was, “When there is joy and peace and love for each other~ It’s like a mom and dad in a family when the children are getting along and loving one another ~ you can face anything and God is glorified ~ but if there is fighting and fussing nothing seems to work out well.” With this truth and goal Brother Johnny links his greatest challenge, “to keep the body unified in the word, spirit, and in love~ I’m convinced that if you don’t have love for one another you don’t have much left, John 13:35 ‘By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Brother Emerson would like to welcome anyone considering Robertsdale Church of Christ to come be a part of us as we study together learning how to apply scripture to our lives, living more like Christ each day.

Arthur Moseley

Brother Arthur Moseley has been married to Sandy for 48 years. They have two children and two grandchildren. Arthur remembers his mother bringing him to church as a young boy here in Robertsdale. After marrying and becoming a father his faithful walk with the Lord brought him to serve first as a deacon and then as one of our elders. Arthur has served this congregation for 35 years as an elder and says, “The most rewarding thing in my role is to see lives rescued from the world, added to the Lord’s body, and nurtured as they grow spiritually into mature followers of Christ.” His goal is to keep the flock safe and pure under the blood of Christ. His words to those taking a look at our site, “Come worship with us!”
